2011, you sucked overall! While there were good moments they don't outweigh all the crap you brought us. So hit the road; it's time for a new year with new possibilities.
May the new year bring peace in our hearts and prosperity to our families.

Be at war with your voices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.

Wow! I found these to be some of the best Science Fiction books I've ever read. Very original and highly imaginative for a writer living at the turn of the last century! Like LotR, I hope this lives up to how I imagined the stories many years ago.
Although the film’s premiere is still several months away, a new trailer for Disney’s John Carter was released yesterday, and it’s looking good. Based on A Princess of Mars — the first book of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s John Carter of Mars series — it is the story of an Earth man mysteriously transported to Mars, where he finds a fantastic, but disintegrating, culture.
Written in 1911,the John Carter books have always been a geek favorite. Although overshadowed by Burroughs’s other popular series, Tarzan, the stories influence has echoed through the years in everything from Flash Gordon to DC Comics’ Adam Strange to the more recent Avatar.
The movie will be released 9 March 2012, and is reported to be the most expensive movie Disney has ever made. Here’s hoping that it will be money well spent.
